Summer came and went...

How did that happen? It was busy, but a lot of fun. We got to go to Utah and spend some time with my family. We had a great time!

The kids are back in school and routine is getting back to normal! Zach is doing fall ball. Kayley really hasn't decided what she wants to do, so I guess she will be laying low until spring.

Brody is a chatter box. He talks so much, and says so many words. He is still into Curious George, but is spreading his wings a little and also likes Mickey Mouse! Change is good!

Macaulay is 9 months! I don't know where the time has gone! He crawls and sits, laughs, coos, smiles. Everyday it seems like there is something new that he does. He is a wonderful eater. He loves everything. This past week we gave him the Yo Baby yogurt and loved it! We are going to be have a big celebration for him in January to celebrate his birthday!

Bob and I are great! Life has been busy, but God is good and always faithful! Our church has been such a huge blessing to us these past few weeks as I have had some medical issues going on.

I guess that's all for now! Going to try and get better at updating!

Another weekend comes...and GOES!

Well, Zach had his t-ball game on Friday, and they won! They usually don't win or lose, but Zach's team got several outs so they WON!!! Zach also won the game ball because the way he hustled on the field. Go Zach!!!!!

The rest of the weekend was pretty uneventful! We went to church on Sunday, and then hung out. Bob worked.

Macualay's appointments went well. He is up to 9lbs 12oz!!! He is still on the monitor, and has reflux. So he is now on meds for that. The doctors were impressed.

Nothing else is going on. We are hoping to go away this Saturday night to go and visit an old Pastor and his wife. They are in the process of being voted in to a new church in PA, so we are going to hear him!

I can't believe that this weekend is already Memorial Day weekend! How did that happen? Before I know it kids will be out of school.

I hope everyone has a great week!

Been busy, but nothing exciting!

Well, I hope all you mother's out there had a great Mother's Day! I had a wonderful day! The big kids and I went to church, came home and hung out and then Bob made dinner!

On Monday, we finally got a van!!! It's so nice to be able to go places as a family and not have to worry about the safety of others! We love it!

Macaulay has two appointments this week. I would say that he is pushing 10 lbs!!! The doctor is going to start him on an anti acid. Lately he has been spitting up after eating. Brody had the same issue, but they just put him on a different formula. I would rather try this medicine, than put him on an expensive formula!

Brody is talking a little bit more everyday. I love this age stage watching them come into their own little person! He has enough personality and spunk for all of the kids, but he's so cute! Sometimes you can't help but laugh when he gets in trouble because he shoots you this big cheesy grin.

Kayley and Zach are ready for school to be over with! They had state testing last week and Kayley really stressed over it. I really wish they wouldn't put so much pressure on these kids. Tonight is their last night of Pioneer, so that will make Wednesday's a lot less crazy!

I guess that's all for now. I will post to let you know how Macaulay does on Thursday!

I'm tired!

After a long, exhausting weekend I'm ready for a vacation! Who knew that car shopping could be so tiring! No, we didn't get anything. With the way the economy is you would think that car dealers would be willing to wiggle a little, but not in our case. I know that we will get the perfect van in God's time, so we just have to wait for that.

We took Macaulay to the doctor today and he weighs 8lbs 7oz!!!! He has almost DOUBLED in size in 4 months. We can also start him on rice cereal now, so he will start gaining more. He slept through the night this weekend...well until 5! I really can't complain about that, 9 hours at night! It's a lot more than Brody ever gave me!

Kayley is going to get to go to a BlueClaws (minor league team here) game sometime next month with school because she got Citizenship. Don't really know the details, or why, because she has always gotten it but this is the first time she has been "rewarded" for it. I would much rather her get that than honor roll, because that says a lot about who she is. Not that honor roll isn't nice, or good grades aren't important.

Zach did great at his game on Saturday. He does really good at first base. With it being T-ball they move him around every inning so they get a taste of everything. He also made a really awesome hit! It's so cute to watch all the boys...and the parents! Some are so into it!

Brody had a good weekend. He is so funny! He always likes to steal Macaulay's binki, but always is kind enough to give it back to him if Macaulay starts crying.

I guess that's about all that's going on with the Bennett's today! Pretty boring...I know!

Busy weekend ahead!

There is a lot going on this weekend, so I know before I can blink it will be Monday morning again. This morning Zach has a game, and then my mother in law will be coming down so that Bob and I can go looking at van's! Its beyond time to upgrade! We have a couple places in mind that we want to go first, so hopefully we will find a good deal, I will keep you posted!

Tomorrow we have church and if we have a bigger vehicle maybe we will head to the beach! Its supposed to be in the high 80's! Can't stay inside with weather that beautiful!

Macaulay has two appointments this week. One Monday with our pediatrician and then on Thursday with the neonatologist. I would say that he is probably 8 1/2 to 9 lbs. He is starting to chunk up a little. He even has a double chin! He's a really good baby! He can roll over, and holds his head up nicely.

Brody loves him still. When he is melting down, he comes over and kisses him and that makes feel better. He is starting to say a few words. Ball, George, Zach, Oh Oh, Ma, nose, eyes, ears, and sometimes Da, and Kay Kay. Not bad, a lot different from Zach!

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

End of half days!!!

Well this has really been a long 2 wks! We had spring break, and then all this week with conferences we had 1/2 days. Tomorrow is a regular day!!!! Doing the happy dance!

Nothing really exciting has happened this week. Kayley had a book report due on Tuesday. It was on an Biography. She decided to do it on Jesus! She did a really good job on the report. We had to make a puppet that represented the person. That took 4 hours of my time, and $15! Monday night was not a fun night. She got an A+ on it!!! Here is a picture of the puppet.

I don't think it turned out to bad for our first attempt at a puppet!

Brody has really been loving the warmer weather. We went for a walk the other night, and I put him and Macaulay in the stroller, they both loved it. Kayley and Zach will sometimes take him out with them and he loves being able to play with the big kids!

Zach is looking forward to his game on Saturday. He is doing good.

It's supposed to be nice this weekend and Bob will be off so hopefully we will be able to do something outside. I'm also loving the thought of warmer, nicer weather. This feels like it has been the longest winter! A busy one, but really long!

Ready for spring!

I'm so tired of this cold and dreary weather. The kids are on spring break this week and I would love to take them out and do things with them so they can get fresh air. You can't do that very well when it's RAINING out!

Zach has practice today, but it's raining, tomorrow we were going to go to the zoo, but it's raining! So now on to a plan to. Maybe I can take the big kids to see a movie. I know Kayley would really love to see Hannah Montana. Zach might complain about that...but he really does like Hannah!

Macaulay rolled over last night from his belly to back! It was exciting! He was on the floor, after I had given him a bath, and next thing you know he was on his back.

Everyone in our house seems to be getting or getting over a cold. So that's fun! I have a headache, and runny nose today. Zach and Brody had it over the weekend, so it's just trickling down.

Worthy is the lamb!

Here are the lyrics to a song that I love...

Thank you for the cross, Lord
Thank you for the price You paid
Bearing all my sin and shame
In love You came
And gave amazing grace

Thank you for this love, Lord
Thank you for the nail pierced hands
Washed me in Your cleansing flow
Now all I know
Your forgiveness and embrace

Worthy is the Lamb
Seated on the throne
Crown You now with many crowns
You reign victorious

High and lifted up
Jesus Son of God
The Darling of Heaven crucified
Worthy is the Lamb
Worthy is the Lamb

Today with it being Easter this song has so much significance. Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for me, and my sin. Thank you for taking the nails for me, for never forgetting me, for standing by me, even when I fail. Thank you for taking me back over, and over, and over, and over again. But Jesus thank you most of all for the empty grave.

So call me stupid!

Or a mom who has lost her mind! I like playing around with fonts and I guess I picked the wrong one, so no one could read my post! Sorry!

Another week is flying by! The kids have school tomorrow and then are off for SPRING BREAK! We have some fun things planned. We are going to the Philly Zoo, on a playdate, and down to the shore...of course this all depends on Jersey weather!

We took Macaulay to the Dr. today. He weighs 7lbs 8oz! YEAH!!!!! He's still on the monitor at night...BOO!!! At least for another month! He is doing good other than that.

Brody is, well Brody! He is happy one minute and ticked off the next! Today I was playing "This little Piggy" and he was cracking up! It was funny the first 10 times, but after about the 45th time it wasn't funny anymore...to me anyway.

Zach isn't feeling well today. He is actually sleeping now, which he doesn't do! So I hope that he feels better by Sunday. I don't want him to be sick for Easter. He hasn't pulled any pegs this week, so I'm happy that his behavior is better in school this week.

Kayley just left for hip hop. Let me tell you she still has NO rhythm. She loves it and that's all that matters.

I feel like I have repeated myself in this post! Sorry. But my mind is drawing a blank.

Busy weekend!

What a busy weekend! Saturday was Zach's first T-ball game! We had to be at the field at 9 am for opening ceremonies! It was FREEZING! I have't figured out why we needed to be there yet, but that was an hour of my time that I didn't need to waste. So then we went and got some hot chocolate, came home and hung out until 2 pm. We had to go back to the field, for pictures at 2:50, and game at 4! I couldn't watch his first game because I was in the concession stand. But Bob said he did great and he had a good time, which is the most important thing. The game was tied...or is that just the way they score?

Sunday the kids and I went to church. What an awesome service! The past few weeks we have been visiting another church. The kids and I have really liked going. It has been a breathe of fresh air for me. I know that we have only been there a few times, but everyone has made us feel welcome.

I am going to call our church this week and set up an appointment to meet with the pastor. I just want him to know how I am feeling, what I think, and how it felt not having the support of our church the past 3 months. I don't know if it will make a difference, but if I don't do this then he will never know.

I am sure that we are going to have another busy week. T-ball, dance, Pioneer club, Macaulay has a doctor appointment on Wednesday, and I would like to go to Good Friday service night.

I'm not here to impress!

At what point in our lives are we supposed to "grow up" and stop playing stupid childish games? I mean, I'm almost in my mid 30's and I'm done! This is who I am and if you don't like it then to bad. I'm not here to impress you, because I really don't have anything that would impress. My family and I live a simple life. We live in a simple home that needs work, we drive a small car and we go anywhere together as a family because of it. We will be getting a van, but when we have the money to do it. I guess what I'm getting at is when did "earthly" possecions become the focus of so many lives.

I'm at a crossroads right now. I'm in the process of trying to become a better wife, mom and friend. Trying to become more organized, keep the house clean, keep up with the laundry, being a better listener, a better Christian, better at many different things. In doing this soul searching I've realized that so many people that call themselves "Christians" or even my friends are so fake. I can't stand it!

Last night I went to baby shower/going away party for one of my good friends. I've never in my life felt so OUT OF PLACE! I was surrounded my people from my church. These are all people that I thought were my friends, part of my "family". One person whom I thought we had a good relationship didn't even say hi to me. I know that probably sounds stupid, but as many of you know the last 3 months of my life have been crazy!

For those that don't our last baby, Macaulay was born 2 months premature. In that time he was in the NICU for 1 month, he stopped breathing one night due to an infection and had to be placed back on CPAP, and all other machines. Since he's been home he has been on a monitor. In that time he has only gained 2 lbs! In that time I have not heard from one person in my "church" family, other than the girl who the shower was for to see how everything was going. No one came to the hospital after he was born, after he had his episode of not breathing, after he came home, NEVER! Not even a phone call. Am I bitter, yes. I feel like I have the right to be. Have I forgiven them, no, honestly I haven't because I'm still hurting because of it and that is something that I need to do.

Even last night NO ONE asked (from the church) how he was doing. For that matter no one asked how anyone in my family was doing. I know that it wasn't about me, it was about my friend. To me last night was more about gossiping. I didn't want to go, and the only reason I did was to be there for my friend.

At this point I never want to go back to that church. It is such a "click". You have to have money, the right car, wear the right clothes, fit into thier "mold" in order to be part of the "family." How is that a church? How is that showing other Chirst love? He doesn't love you for those things. He didn't die for you for who you are, what you have. He died for our sins. He has given us ALL that we have. You should be greatful for what HE has given you and not look down at people who don't have the same or better as you. Is that how you would want to be treated if HE didn't bless you the way that he blessed someone else?

What a crazy day...

I never thought that having four kids was going to be easy, but today I got my first glimpse of reality! It was a great day, just crazy putting kids in and out of the car, trying to pick kids up from school and so on. I hadn't had the opportunity to sit down for anytime at all due to the fact that I went to a friends house, got back had to get Z from school with the two little guys, came home, hung out for a little bit, went and got K, came home, started dinner, took K to dance, came back, worked on dinner, transferred car seats, loaded kids up AGAIN!, went and got K, came home, served dinner, fed M, cleaned up, got kids ready for bed, and now sitting down! I'm exhausted!

Some mom's make it look so easy. Never let them see ya sweat mentality, but I want to really see how they do it! What are they doing to make it look so simple? Is it better time management? Organization? Someone, please let me in on your secret!

I am lucky in the fact the my "big kids" are great helpers! K and Z are willing to help me out whenever and wherever they can. Even B tries his best to help, and he isn't 2 yet!

Thanks for letting me vent for today!

First post...

Well, I was going to start this a few months ago but life has been crazy. As many of you know Macaulay was born 2 months early, so we spent a month in the NICU. That was a very crazy and stressful time, but God got us through it. M has been home for 2 months today and doing well. He is gaining weight, and growing. Still tiny, but he should only be a month old.

The other kids are good. K just started Hip Hop dance and Z will be doing his first season of T-Ball. He's already for the pro's though, keeps asking when he's going to be on TV!

B is a great big brother...when he isn't stealing M's binki, or trying to pick him up. He loves him and is always giving him kisses and stuff.

I look forward to everyone following me along on this crazy journey! Stop by and say hi every once in awhile!
